Now that the dust has settled from last night’s fantastic screening/q&a/band action at LAMP last night – the LUC film programming team still can’t quite believe that we have secured It’s Such A Beautiful Day for an exclusive screening today.
For the uninitiated this is the masterpiece by genius animator Don Hertzfeldt, which has won at least 90 awards already (according to our statistics sub-committee). Funny, moving and poignant, I can’t recommend this film highly enough – check out the amazing reviews that it has attracted so far.
Prior to this fantastic film, LUC is screening an hour of animated entries to the LUC Short Film Prize. This programme includes musical werewolves, woollen astronomy and terrible attempts at free running. However please note this event is not suitable for kids.
All this fun is taking place at Arts Trail Studios on Livery street (aka Regent Court) and entry is completely free! Check the LUC festival map for details.
The shorts will start at 5pm, then It’s Such A Beautiful Day will screen after a short intermission and is one hour long. Seats will be limited so please come early to avoid disappointment. No one likes disappointment. Apart from Morrissey.
