Prepare yourself for THE ROOM on 23rd September

The room 1000pxBefore the LUC Festival 2014 kicks off on the 7th October, we’ve got a couple of cool events to help you warm up. On Thursday 25th, Film Bingo is back at The Cask & Bottle, bringing you the chance to win £50 for being good at spotting films. Prior to this, on Tuesday 23rd September for one night only at The Zephyr Lounge, The Masochist Film Club presents THE ROOM.

A cult phenomenon of piss-poor film-making, The Room is so irretrievably strange and inept in every possible way that it has become an essential viewing experience.

Regularly playing to packed out midnight screenings of plastic spoon flinging enthusiasts, this movie is the work of Tommy Wiseau – a writer/director/actor with a singular vision and an even more singular accent. The plot revolves around a supposedly dramatic love triangle – but that takes a back seat to scene after inexplicable scene of terrible acting, bizarrely confined sporting activities and watch-it-through-your-fingers smooth love action. Oh yes.

Tickets for the screening of this truly amazing film are just £4 and can be purchased in advance online or on the night. Doors open at 8pm – it could be busy so get down early to avoid missing out!
