“It’s 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it’s dark… and we’re wearing sunglasses”
Dig out your shades, stick four whole chickens in the fryer, fire up the toaster and try to remember the words to the theme tune to Rawhide… because in three weeks time, LUC is putting on one of our biggest events to date.
On Friday 15th April we’re screening all time classic, The Blues Brothers, in Leamington Spa’s massive All Saints Church.
We’ve got live musical entertainment to get you warmed up in the shape of local blues legend James Knight, who is playing a very special set prior to the movie. There will also be a well-stocked bar available throughout to help keep everybody suitably hydrated and refreshed during proceedings.
Doors open at 7pm, music will be on at 7.45pm and the movie is planned to start at 8.15.
Tickets for this musical, cinematic extravaganza are just £10 (and thats a lot of entertainment for £10) in advance or on the door.
You can purchase advance tickets on-line from wegottickets or directly from the church (If like LUC you are not up to date on your local religious landmarks – it is the huge old building next to the Jug & Jester).
This is our first event in conjunction with the friends of the parish church, who are working towards putting on all sorts of new events at the church in the coming months, including LUC’s very special screening of Monty Python’s Life Of Brian on 28th May.
