Announcements Competition film making LUC FESTIVAL 2015

Full steam ahead for 48 hour film contest

We are delighted to announce that the first ever LUC 48 Hour film competition will definitely be going ahead as we already have a number of intrepid teams signed up, but there is plenty of room for more.

15514395025_224c88764f_kHave you always wanted to make a film? Fancy getting your mates together and having a fun packed weekend making a movie? Our first ever 48 hour film competition is the opportunity you have been looking for. No previous experience is required and it is completely free to take part, you just need something to film on, some creative spark and probably quite a lot of caffeinated beverages. The competition runs from 7.30pm on Friday 30th October to 7.30pm Sunday 1st November. At 7pm on the Friday we will give you a randomly generated genre, line of dialogue and prop which must all feature in your movie. Your task is to use the following 48 hours to make a film with a running time of more than 1, but less than five minutes and submit it by the deadine.

All films will be screened at our American Movie event on Thursday 12th November during the LUC Festival, where an elite judging panel will select the winner. £100 and tickets to our final night events are up for grabs. For full rules and details on how to register a team please check the rules on this site or the Facebook page for the competition. Teams must be registered by 28th October.
