LUC FILM CLUB: OCTOBER 24TH

Rest is for wimps and you can sleep when you’re dead – so following the blazing conclusion of the first Leamington Underground Cinema festival, LUC are bouncing straight back.

On the evening of Thursday 24th October join us at Leamington LAMP for a whole bunch of short, sharp, angular shards of audio-visual entertainment, selected especially for you. Yes, you sitting there eating cereal in your pants, idly scratching your arse and wondering whether to stick newsnight on, or just watch the rest of Independence Day.

Films kick off at 8pm, but come down early for a drink.

Entry is free to everyone who feels physically uncomfortable when they look at George Osborne.

New Event – FILM CLUB 1st September at LAMP

Following the sweaty triumph of LUC LIVE AT LAMP, LUC’s (almost) regular, informal tour around the cinematic delights of the internet will be moving there from previous venue The Clarendon for the first time on Sunday 1st September.

Mathematically speaking,

FILM CLUB = (cool short films + possibly more of those dodgy trailers) x (an easily accessible bar – entry fee)

…what more could you want on a Sunday evening?

Entry is COMPLETELY FREE to everyone who has ever woken up and sworn that they will never drink tequila again.

Remember. The 1st rule of film club is: Talk a lot about Film Club.

Next LUC Film Club, Sunday 31st March 8pm

We’ll be back round the big screen at the Clarendon in 4 weeks time for another evening of cool shorts and inevitably some extremely worrying trailers. As usual, two halves of 40 minutes or so, with a handy refreshment/toilet/crack smoking break in the middle.

There might even be some sort of exciting competition this time. Try to remain calm, while you study this scruffy looking poster…
